Like to see it all done?

A Probe....just something I bought dirt cheap (it was REALLY clean) to sell...

in case you're wondering....I repaired (not replaced) both rear quarters......without using a ton of 'mud'......too many shops in this day and age don't know what a hammer, dolly, and spoon are......they just know what "replace" is.

A bent '90 Probe...it was clean and the "right" color....

Yet another totaled Probe.....I seem to attract these things.....but hey, got lotsa' parts (and it was cheap....).

A hood from a pavement modified.....they need a hole from a tire fixed QUICK....without screwing up the existing lettering......solution:  cover the primer spot where I bonded it back together with flames....

brenton1.jpg (42661 bytes)brenton2.jpg (33176 bytes)brenton3.jpg (33695 bytes)brenton4.jpg (40228 bytes)An '82 'Vette......it needed paint BEFORE a 4 x 4 pickup backed up on the nose (uhhhh, gee, I didn't see your car there....).....see the repair (brown spot)  on the hood?  That's where the "Reese" hitch on the truck ended up......these pics are taken after the front end was sectioned and rough-bonded back together.  'Vette's are hideously time-comsuming to refinish correctly.....strip 'em to the bare glass.....lotsa hand work......prime & block w/alternate colored primer to get the "waves" out ......see the red and the grey?

brenton5.jpg (43380 bytes)brenton6.jpg (49850 bytes)brenton7.jpg (23739 bytes)and as soon as it was done, they did the right thing.....sold it.  A "real" car is not made of plastic......"glass may be class", but "steel is real".......

The chassis of one of the fastest stock-block 800 mod sleds in the country......testing accident on grass (and no, I wasn't driving it).  Straightened the front space frame/bulkhead.....dressed it in all new aluminum........then made it red.

A couple of asphalt drag sleds I've painted......I drove the orange one (1000cc) off and on summer '98.....it runs consistent 9.30's in the low/mid 140's......even faster the day we took lotsa' spare pistons and cylinders and ran 20% nitromethane in it.  Sorta' hard on parts, though.

rlx1_small.JPG (2212 bytes)  Click on the pic of the maroon LX....it's probably Raj Boaz' next (insane) street warrior.  He                                says it's his "driver"car....yeah, suuure.....liars go to hell, too....

copcar.jpg (43894 bytes)I've also work on the local police cars......never hurts to have friends on the "other side"...."know thine enemy"....and yeah, my Lincoln would have sucked the doorhandles off this thing......but it ain't as fast as the radio.....

A (true) working on the cop car story.  Do not Try This At Home.   Leave It To A Professional.  One night I'm working my way down a list of things to fix, and I get to "wind leak RR door".  I get out a dollar bill and start going around the outside of the door trying to find the spot where the weatherstripping isn't touching.  Satisfied that I'd found it, I opened the door and got inside to check it from there.  About one nanosecond after I closed the door, I realized what I'd done.......it's 9 pm at night, I'm working alone in my shop, and I'm locked in the back seat of the damned police car.  Hmmmmmm.  The screen was open on the passenger side, but the opening was too small to crawl through.  I managed to turn on the overheads and siren......evidently if anyone did hear it (shop's about 50 yds from the house and well insulated) they ignored me.......probably assuming I'm living out some childish fantasy playing "hot pursuit" (ahm a gonna get me them thar Duke boys.....).  Now it's about 10 pm and I'm really tired of this game......the one evening that no-one wanders in the shop.......and there's usually a steady stream of traffic....  Hey.....the passenger side power lock button.......I reached through the screen and took the long tin ticket book laying in the front seat and pushed on the button.  Duh!  Makes no difference......  By now it's almost 11 pm and I'm about desperate enough to grab the shotgun (I CAN reach it.....) and blow the damned door off and/or open, but explaining that when I delivered the car in the morning *might* be kind of hard (door?  no, hell, that was like that when I picked it up......never noticed it......it wasn't on the list.....).   Ooooh.....power windows....  I managed to get the ignition turned to "on" with the ticket book (keys were in the switch, thank God).  Now, how to reach a rear window switch waaay over on the driver's armrest......  Ticket book's not long enough....maybe the big long cop-sized flashlight in the seat.  After numerous tries, I finally get a rear window to drop enough to get hold of an outside door handle........  11:30 pm....lesson well learned.

Oh, yeah....  The wind leak ended up being because top of the door was bent out slightly.  Some (pissed off) individual tried to kick his way out......I think I know how he felt.....
